All, Typeface, Visual Identity, Website, Poster, Pamphlet, Catalog, Publication, Art ResidencyPoster for Caroline Monnet’s upcoming film, Pidikwe. The film brings together Indigenous women of various generations, weaving traditional and contemporary dance into an audiovisual experience that exists between film and performance—between past and future. It explores the echoes between the intoxication of the Roaring Twenties and today’s society while reclaiming narratives once shaped by the colonial gaze.
My approach to the poster design was to create a visual bridge between these temporalities, capturing both the raw texture of early cinema and a contemporary, self-determined vision of Indigenous identity in movement.
